Boost for George Kithi as Michael Tinga Drops his Gubernatorial Candidature to support him

Kilifi Governor aspirant through Ford Kenya party Michael Tinga has dropped his gubernatorial bid in support of George Kithi.

George Kithi is contesting for Kilifi Governor seat through Governor Amason Kingi led-Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) party.

Tinga said he decided to support Kithi’s bid because Kilifi county needs Sober and educated leaders like George Kithi to bring change to the region.

He said he supports Kithi’s manifesto of providing free education to Kilifi county learners among other agenda.

Tinga Faulted UDA aspirant Aisha Jumwa and ODM aspirant Gideon Mung’aro warning Kilifi residents that the two are not fit for the gubernatorial position.

“Kilifi county can only have one qualified and elite governor, and that is either George Kithi or myself Tinga. For that reason, I have decided to support George Kithi because his manifesto will bring significant changes to the people of Kilifi”, Tinga said.

This occured during PAA political rally across Kaloleni constituency at Chanagande, Mtsengo, Mnazimwenga, ,Kamkomani, Tsangatsini among other regions in Mwanamwinga, Kaloleni and Kaya Fungo wards.

Kilifi County Governor aspirant George Kithi supported Tinga’s move promising residents to bring a new dawn to Kilifi County if elected as the 2nd governor on the forthcoming polls.

“I assure you that we will work together to deliberate the people of Kilifi by providing free education, reviving industries to create more job opportunities, improving blue economy and revitalizing the tourism industry for the benefit of Kilifi people”, Kithi said.

Tinga’s move was also supported by Kilifi County women representative through PAA,Christine Zawadi, who said that only PAA party is capable of producing leaders who will bring change to Kilifi.

“I congratulate Michael Tinga for making the wisest decision of joining the winning party in Kilifi. All we are looking forward to is change in this county and I am here to assure you that Kilifi will not lag behind with George Kithi and the PAA team in the leadership”, Zawadi said.

As the PAA party aspirants welcomed Michael Tinga, Kaya Fungo ward MCA aspirant through Jubilee party Gibson Unda defected Jubilee to join PAA.

Unda dropped his bid to support PAA MCA aspirant Alphonce Mwayaa, a move that saw a big boost for PAA party in the region.

“I am leaving Jubilee to join PAA because they treated me like a dog. I am happy to be home at last”, Unda said.

As voters gear up for the 9TH August general elections, Kilifi County’s gubernatorial seat remains hot for four aspirants, Aisha Jumwa, George Kithi, Gedion Mung’aro and 82-year-old Kasoso Baya who is contesting for the seat on an independent ticket.
