A group of volunteers from Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL) on Monday took the initiative of cleaning Kibera Constituency to create peace awareness in the region.
The flawless event which was officiated by area police was graced by young and old individuals from different parts of Kibera.
The cleaning exercise started from Olympic primary all the way to 42 area dumping site.
HWPL is a Non-Governmental and a non-charitable organization that was founded by Chairman Man Hee Lee in 2013.
HWPL has engaged in both local and international activities calling out for peace through peace walks, cleanup activities and engaging in peace summits where people from all walks of life are invited to the platform.
HWPL believes that ending war and conflict in order to leave peace as a legacy for future generations, they have to establish peace and conflict resolution through international law.
The organization thus has established a sub branch named Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW), World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) offices for religious harmony, a hub for the international network for peace and New reports on Peace through media agencies and social media.
This has seen different events happening such a peace education to Kenyan Primary schools where some of the peace ambassadors teach the students conflict resolution skills and engage in practical games to establish a peaceful character to the young ones as they are the future peace ambassadors.
The organization promises to continue working hand in hand with the society to preach, establish and maintain peace as it is believed that a peaceful society is a happy nation.
In adherence to the government HWPL is keen in maintaining order during its activities.
