Youths and Mama mboga from kisumu County have gotten financial boost for their businesses from the county senator Prof.Tom Ojienda.
The initiative aims in uplift Smes in bodaboda sector and women doing small businesses within kisumu County.
While launching the project in Awasi where he gave a sum of 780 thousand to the women men who are in business within the market,Prof.Tom Ojienda assured all the small scale traders that he will give them a start up in order to uplift their lives.
” I am going to walk in all the sub counties within kisumu County to give a helping hand to the small scale traders in order to put something on table through their business,” Said Ojienda.
Then invasive seeks to give 780 thousand per every sub county and this will lift the lives of the small scale traders.
According to Pamela Owuor who hails from Awasi and a business woman from Awasi Market,cited many challenges they were facing and are now happy with the initiative of Prof.Tom Ojienda of uplifting small business.
She urged her fellow women to utilise the funds given to them in in a good manner to ensure their businesses runs smoothly.
“I am urging my fellow women in business from Awasi Market to make good use of the money given to them for business because this is the only way they will pay for their bills and school fees for their children”, Said Pamela.
Prof. Ojienda who is the senator for kisumu County have assured the kisumu residents a tremendous development through the funds he gets from well wisher and from his own pocket.
Recently he gave a bursary to the needy student from all the seven sub counties in Kisumu County summing to a tune of 4.6 million
