Education remains the strongest pillar of transformation in Awendo Constituency, and Hon. Walter Owino continues to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to securing the future of the region’s learners.
Guided by his deep belief that no child should miss school due to lack of fees, the Awendo legislator has unveiled a comprehensive NGCDF bursary disbursement schedule aimed at easing the financial burden on families and strengthening access to quality education.
Hon. Owino has consistently championed education as the most powerful equalizer, often emphasizing that investing in students today guarantees a prosperous Awendo tomorrow.
His latest bursary disbursement exercise reflects not only leadership in action but also a clear thirst to uplift every deserving learner across the constituency.
The bursary issuance will kick off on Friday, 13th February, at St. Mark’s Tom Mboya Secondary School at 2:00 PM, marking the beginning of a three-day outreach programme designed to bring services closer to the people.
On Saturday, 14th February, the exercise will proceed at Alara Nyambija at 8:00 AM, followed by St. Phillip’s Yago Secondary School at 11:00 AM, and later at St. Pauline Malunga Secondary School at 2:00 PM.
The programme will culminate on Sunday, 15th February, with multiple stops to ensure broad coverage. Disbursement will take place at St. Timon’s Rabondo Secondary School at 9:00 AM, Rabuor Kogelo Secondary School at 11:00 AM, Ogwamrondo Hill Secondary School at 1:00 PM, and finally at Ringa Kodongo Primary School at 3:00 PM.
Through this structured and inclusive approach, Hon. Walter Owino reaffirms his administration’s resolve to prioritize education as a catalyst for development. By personally overseeing and decentralizing the bursary process, the MP underscores his belief that education funding must be accessible, transparent, and timely.
For many families in Awendo, this bursary programme is more than financial support—it is hope restored, dreams revived, and a reminder that their elected leader remains firmly committed to empowering the next generation through learning.
As Awendo continues to grow, one message rings clear: under Hon. Walter Owino’s leadership, education is not just a priority—it is a mission.
