Ignore Gachagua you are safe; Assures Defense CS Duale Kenyans

Defense Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has assured Kenyans of their safety after the deployment of the Kenya Defense Forces to help the National Police Service maintain law and order.

At the same time, Duale who was speaking at a fundraiser at Daba village in Tana River County in a veiled attack on Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua condemned the latter for sponsoring goons to infiltrate peaceful anti-finance bill protestors in various parts of the country.

“The Kenya Defense Forces working together with the National Police Service are going to protect critical government infrastructure and installations such as the National Assembly, the Supreme Court and property of the people of Kenya from goons and criminals who are in this government regime and others who were in the last regime,” he said.

Duale, accompanied by Marsabit Governor Mahmud Ali, Garsen MP Ali Wario, former Interior Chief Administrative Secretary Hussein Dado and other leaders, added that those threatening to storm the Statehouse should shelf the plan since the government was now awake.

“We shall not allow criminal gangs like mungiki to reassemble and those leaders who think they can destabilize President William Ruto’s government should wait until the next elections, we don’t want Kenya to be like our unstable neighbours and we thank our young people for holding the government to account through peaceful protests,” he added.

Garsen MP Ali Wario said that he voted for the rejected finance bill 2024/2025 because his constituency was going to benefit from several national government projects that had been budgeted for in the bill and warned Gachagua against inciting Kenyans on a tribal basis.

“Those we saw in the protests are not Gen Z but were criminals mungiki organized by Rigathi to destabilize the government of Ruto. That is not the way to go,” he said.

Marsabit Governor Mahmud Ali echoed his sentiments and cautioned Gachagua against inciting tribal wars in the country.

“As a leader who is blessed to be the second in command in Kenya, you should always way what comes out of your mouth because any wrong word can cause anarchy. The Deputy President should respect the President and unite the country,” he said.

The leaders donated more than Sh. 5 million shillings in aid of 70 women groups in the area.
