Kilifi county is set to host the 9th edition of Kenya youth Inter County Sports to help promote sports among youth, the association has said.
The games will involve players under the age of 23 years and it will include various disciplines such as beach football, volleyball, handball, boat racing and many more.
The Secretary General of KYISA Ambrose Kisoi said that they had already conducted evaluation of the sporting facilities in Malindi and Kilifi towns where the games are supposed to take place in April this year.
The Kilifi Kenya Football Kenya Federation (FKF) chairman Dickson Angore said that the championships will be used as talent tapping exercises adding that sporting scouts from various teams and disciplines will camp in the area to pick the best for their teams hence creating employment through sports.
