The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has received national recognition after its Party Leader, Ms. Rosemary Otuchi Asimba, was formally commended by the Registrar of Political Parties for her exceptional contribution to the development of Kenya’s Political Parties Financial Reporting Template and the successful training of political parties on the approved reporting tool.
In a detailed commendation letter dated 4th December 2025, the Registrar of Political Parties praised Ms. Asimba’s dedication, professionalism and outstanding performance as a member of the Multi-Agency Committee that crafted the financial reporting framework now adopted nationwide. The Registrar noted that the template created under her leadership has significantly improved consistency, efficiency and accuracy in financial data reporting across political parties—an achievement described as essential to strengthening good governance and democratization in Kenya.
The letter further acknowledged Ms. Asimba’s innovation, attention to detail and commitment to excellence, stating that her work has become a critical national document that institutionalizes political parties and enhances transparency in the sector.
LDP’s Secretary General, Dr. Denise Kodhe, congratulated the Party Leader for her remarkable accomplishment, commending her for the instrumental role she played in shaping the financial reporting tools now used by the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP).
Dr. Kodhe emphasized that Ms. Asimba’s success demonstrates LDP’s unwavering commitment to professionalism, accountability and meritocracy.
He noted that the recognition affirms the party’s dedication to strengthening governance standards and contributing positively to national reforms that uphold transparency within Kenya’s political landscape.
