Kilifi county governor Gideon maitha mung’aro has been appointed the Scout’s Patron for Kilifi County, by Mirere Muthoni, Kilifi county’s Scout’s Coordinator.
The county boss takes charge of the Scout Movement which aims to bring together young people to serve.
This is in addition to becoming active in their society, be upholders of others’ rights, and advocating for world peace.
Upon his appointment, the governor presented certificates of membership in the movement to Dr Ruth Masha, County Executive Committee Member for Sports, Youth and Culture,
And ndneta Karembo, Chief Officer of Gender, during the occasion.
Furthermore, mung’aro pledged to continue supporting the movement for it to achieve its objectives.
