Suna West Member of Parliament Peter Masara presided over the launching of a 400-capacity-storey dormitory building at St.Celestino Nyangubo Girls Secondary School.
The state-of-the-art student dormitory was fully funded by Suna West NG-CDF in the financial year 2022/23/24.
Speaking during the launch, Masara who was delighted as his visionary project come to life ,affirmed that prosperity rely on the power of the people rather than people in power in a transformative agenda of a society.
” I recall on the tension we had when we visioned to start a girl school here from the people in power then, but today we celebrate that we pushed for what was right and it’s fruits we enjoy today,” said the Masara.
He outlined that such projects stands to demonstrate the collective commitment of the Suna West administration in providing students with a conducive educational environment for excellent performances.
Masara urged the students to adopt the SWOT analysis method in their academics to monitor their studies and performances in life to bring a change in society.

Hellen Ndere the Principal of Nyangubo Girls Secondary School expressed her gratitude to the area MP for his commitment in supporting the School since its inception and transforming it into a centre of excellence.
Hellen acknowledged the timely provision of the NG-CDF bursaries for needy students ensuring they are fully retained in school and such a deliberate move saw Nyangubo bank Sh1.6Million from the bursary kitty.
The school’s deputy board Chairperson Josiah Owade applauded the community for sharing in the vision and coming in handy to give out lands and resources to support the school’s development.
He emphasized that education is a way opener to many opportunities in an individual’s life.
BelindaAchieng, student leader expressed her gratitude to the devoted legislature for bursary aid lifting the burden from parents and also giving them a safe place of retire urging her fellow students to return the favour by working smart to match the efforts of the MP.
Other projects to benefit from Suna West NG-CDF include a 250students capacity dormitory at St.Peters Abwao Boys Secondary School, St.Peters Giribe Mixed Secondary School, Maweni Girls Secondary School and Wiga Secondary School among other projects.
