The Nyanza young professionals have strongly condemned the people criticising their recent visit to the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua citing their visit was in good faith.
The group which comprises of young people across the Nyanza region insisted that their visit two weeks ago to the home of the former Deputy president was meant to discuss national issues affecting the youths in all the regions of the country.
According to the chairman of the group Nyanza young professionals Movement Mr.Peter Odhiambo,he said that their visit was meant to discuss national issues particularly the youth empowerment.
Odhiambo says they have faced verbal attacks and threats from Nyanza Politicians citing that as young people they also have a constitutional right to associate with any leader in the country.
” We also have a constitutional right as youths to associate with any leader in Kenya hence we should not be critised for meeting the former Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua”,Said Odhiambo.
They also reminded the president of the republic of Kenya William Ruto to full fill his promise of returning back Kazi Mtaani youth empowerment program, questioning whether the president is still having plans for job creation in the region.
They also urged the youths across the country to come out in large numbers and register as voters ahead of 2027 general election.
