LDP criticizes President Ruto’s appointees, including Joho, Mbadi, Oparanya, and Opiyo Wandayi, for their decision to celebrate while families and communities are grieving the loss of their loved ones, who were tragically killed by police during the protests. It is profoundly inappropriate and disrespectful to celebrate in the face of such sorrow.
Denise Kodhe, Secretary General of LDP, denounces this behavior as indicative of a troubling self-interest among politicians, who seem more concerned with personal gain than with the well-being of those who elected them. He underscores the stark contrast between the ongoing grief of the affected families—some of whom are still searching for unclaimed bodies in mortuaries—and the celebratory actions of these public figures.
