Onjiko Boys Denys Kisumu Day a stage at the Regional KSSAA Games

Onjiko Boys High School has been crowned the winners of the semi-final match against Kisumu Day High School in the ongoing Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Arena(KSSSA) Games in Kisumu County.

Their victory secures them a spot in the upcoming regional games, which will also be held in Kisumu.

In a closely contested semi-final, Onjiko Boys and Kisumu Day ended regular time with a 1-1 draw.

The match was decided in a dramatic penalty shootout, where Onjiko triumphed with a 4-3 win.

This crucial victory propelled them into the finals, where they faced Agai Mixed Secondary School.

The final between Onjiko and Agai Mixed also ended in a 1-1 draw, leading to both teams qualifying to represent Kisumu County at the regional level.

Speaking after the match, Onjiko Boys High School Principal, Mr. Were, expressed his pride and confidence in the team.

“I am optimistic that this time round, our boys will go all the way to win at the regionals, and we are setting our sights on the East Africa level,” he said.

Onjiko Boys and Agai Mixed now carry Kisumu County’s hopes as they prepare for the regional football competitions.
