Over 6000 learners in Seme receive bursary worth Sh34 million

Over six thousand students from Seme Constituency got a bursary from the CDF kitty under the leadership of Dr.James Nyikal area Member of Parliament.

The students who most of them come from local secondary schools within the Constituency got a whole year’s school fees that will enable them have humble time of learning.

The CDF of Seme released a sum totaling to a tune of Sh34 million for the students who are both in local and extra county schools within Seme Constituency.

According to Dr Nyikal who is the member of Parliament of Seme Constituency said that he has put more strength in ensuring no child is left without going to school.

He also added that this financial year they have set a side a sum of Sh54 million towards bursaries to cab the gap of other students not getting school fees.

” I want to make sure that all the children in secondary schools and those in Middle colleges and technical colleges get fees to further their studies”, said Nyikal.

Nyikal also added that they want to have a new formula of ensuring that some students are sponsored towards doing some good causes like medicine,engineering causes to allow more experts to be found in Seme.

He also urged the principals to always be patient and stop sending students away for fee as the government through the ministry and in partnership with the NGCDF are trying to releive the burden parents are facing of paying schools and the two functions are paying fees for the children.

Some of the parents who their children of the parents whose children are the beneficiaries of the bursary urged the the area Mp to continue extending a helping hand to the community who are not able to raise school fees for their children.
