Schools struggle as over 1 billion capitation funds could not be located

Over 1000 Primary and Junior Secondary Schools in across the country are experiencing haemorrhage in operations as the Ministry of Education could not locate over 1 billion capitation funds

This is after the said capitation was reported to have been released to some schools hence leaving some schools without a single cent to run school operations

Efforts by various heads of the affected schools have hit a dead end as they’re kept in the dark of what had really happened.

However,a source at the ministry has hinted to KTMN reporter that the notorious cartels which were scattered by the former CS Prof. Magoha have regrouped and now domiciled at Jogoo House.

Notable names were of the Education PS Dr Belio Kipsang, who was found on the spot of corruptuion was removed from the ministry of education by the former president over alleged Corruption deal of non existing schools which were being given capitation.

Efforts to try and get the side of the Ps education did not bare any fruit as he did not pick up calls neither did he reply to our messages.

“We can’t execute school operations. Everything is at a standstill with suppliers tightening noose on our necks”, said one of the school heads.

The headteachers of the said schools which did not get capitation are now forced to go deep into their pockets to help in school operations as there is no money to help them do smooth operations.
