United Democratic Alliance party Secretary-General Cleophas Malala called on Speakers Moses Wetangula of the National assembly and his counterpart Amason Kingi of the Senate to resign from party politics.
Malala said that the two cannot be engaged or contribute to matters of party politics as they are barred by the constitution
Malala who replaced Veronica Maina as the UDA Secretary-General urged the two speakers to step down from party politics ahead of the proposed dissolution of the UDA.
He alludes that the affiliate parties inside UDA shall be dissolved to form one major party, UDA, which is the party of the majority.
Wetangula is currently the leader of the FORD Kenya party while Kingi is the leader of PAA, which are all UDA affiliate parties.
Malala added that the positions they hold render their parties as good as dissolved and non-viable, a thing that Kingi and Wetangula have not come to terms with.
Malala’s administration style as the Secretary-General of UDA comes with bottlenecks which a section of the UDA party members have used to level him as a tool for distractions in the ruling party.
