Mombasa’s Private Schools Reign Supreme in 2023 KCSE Results

In a spectacular display of academic excellence, Mombasa’s private schools have once again taken centre stage in the recently announced KCSE exams, leaving no room for doubt about their indisputable dominance. Education CS Ezekiel Machogu unveiled the remarkable results on Monday, unveiling a sea of impressive achievements.

Towering above the rest is Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Secondary School, which has left an indelible mark on the academic landscape with an astonishing record of 9 straight A’s and an additional 38 A minus grades.

Addressing the media at the school the top student Abdallah Issa Timamy 18 years old attributed his good performance and hard work and dedication where he wants to pursue law at the university of Nairobi or Strathmore University being inspired by his father.

“I feel very lucky to have done well in the exam, I want to thank first God, my parents, teachers and the government for upgrading the new education system which has really helped us I didn’t expect it but am overjoyed, I have been really good at sciences and mathematics but languages has been my biggest challenging,” explains Issa

This institution’s commitment to cultivating a culture of brilliance has paid off, as they continue to set the bar high for educational achievements. “Many people believe that politicians’ kids are spoiled brats but Isaa has proven them wrong after scoring excellent performance,” stated one of the teacher.

When it comes to university admissions, Sheikh Khalif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Secondary School has proven itself once again, with a staggering 213 out of its 217 candidates achieving the coveted minimum grade of plus.

This remarkable feat not only showcases the exceptional talent within the school but also highlights the incredible guidance and support provided by the dedicated faculty.

The accolades don’t stop there. A further 62 candidates from Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Secondary School achieved the highly commendable B plus grade, while 55 students excelled with a solid B grade, solidifying the school’s reputation as a true powerhouse of academic brilliance.
