Nyabondo Boys High School from Kisumu County has secured a spot in the semi-finals of the ongoing National Secondary Sports Tournament held in Kisii.
Their impressive performance against County High School from Eastern Province saw them win all three sets, dominating the match with scores of 25-12, 25-5, and 25-6.
The team is now gearing up for a challenging semi-final match against Cheptil High School from Rift Valley.
This upcoming game is crucial as it will determine who advances to the finals.
School principal Mr. Jared Opanga, a seasoned volleyball expert, expressed his optimism about the team’s prospects.
“I am confident that we will make it to the East Africa Sports Tournament. We are determined to bring the cup home to Kisumu,” he assured local residents.
The National Secondary Sports Tournament, which began on Sunday, has brought together schools from across the country, showcasing some of the best young athletic talent in Kenya.
Nyabondo Boys’ outstanding performance has not only boosted their morale but also heightened anticipation among fans and supporters.
