Following his relentless performance against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions, Nigerian football sensation Victor Osimhen found himself subjected to a spontaneous drug test.
Osimhen’s pivotal role in securing a crucial victory for Nigeria, propelling them to the quarter-finals, caught the keen eye of Confederation of African Football (CAF) officials.
Notably, the Super Eagles forward had previously undergone testing during the encounter with Ivory Coast, with both results confirming his negative status.
CAF officials reserve the right to randomly select players for testing, especially if they observe any peculiar behavior.
As the reigning CAF Player of the Year, Osimhen is anticipated to spearhead Nigeria’s attack in the upcoming quarter-final clash against Angola.
