Agoro Sare High School and Ng’iya Girls emerged top in the just concluded Nyanza basketball competitions.
The two schools from Homa Bay and Siaya counties respectively emerged champions in boys and girls category respectively.
In the boys category,Agoro Sare showcased their talent by defeating Maseno School 51 – 44 in a hot contested finals.
The victory secured Agoro Sare the coveted title of Nyanza champions with Maseno School knocking out defending champions Onjiko High School on the Semi finals.
The win for Agoro Sare was a testament to their hard work and on the game.
Ng’iya Girls School recorded a new chapter in their sporting history by clinching the girls’ basketball title,overcoming a tough challenge from Nyakach Girls in an encounter that ended 44-41.
This Victory lead to the end of Ototo mixed Secondary school’s reign as defending champions,Ototo finished fourth distant in the competition.
Tracy Sally is the captain for Ng’iya Girls who expressed her joy and gratitude for the team’s success.
