
The two days Koshien Baseball tournament for secondary schools in Kenya ends today at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology-(Jkuat) with fireworks expected to crown the event for both Boys and Girls Category.
The event that has attracted top schools in the country was graced by Japan Ambassador to Kenya H. E. Okaniwa Ken during the opening ceremony.
He hailed Baseball standards in Kenya and promised his country to continue supporting Baseball Federation of Kenya (BFK) in their pursuit to promote the game in the country.
BFK president Benjamin Mutwiri lauded Japan for supporting Kenya in promoting Baseball activities in the country noting that the standards have gone up by attracting enthusiasm and interest among the Youth.

In today’s semi finals for men, Mully school from Yatta in Eastern will face off with Changombe from Coast after losing 11-0 earlier to Kongoni from Western.
More excitement is expected to be witnessed today (Sunday) when Nkaimurunya from Rongai will take on battle hardened Kongoni in the men’s final.
In the Girls category Mully will battle it out with Bonu in the semi finals to find out the third and fourth finishers while Nkaimurunya have a tricky final clash against Musoli from Western.
Musoli sailed to the final after beating Coast based Bomu by 15-8 runs while Nkaimurunga from Metropolitan put up a gallant show to qualify to the finals of the Girls category after outwitting Mully school 12-4 runs.
