Nyabondo Boys clinched victory after a closely contested match against Riokindo Boys, who were leading in the first set with 29 points against Nyabondo’s 27.
However, Nyabondo bounced back strongly in the subsequent sets, leading with 25-20 and finally 25-18, respectively.
The match took a turbulent turn when Riokindo Boys’ frustration escalated into chaos, resulting in an altercation with the referee.
“This incident disrupted the match flow and ultimately led to Nyabondo Boys being declared the winners with 3 points to Riokindo Boys’ 0,” commented a tournament official.
With this win, Nyabondo Boys advance to the semi-finals where they are set to face off against Gogo Secondary School from Homa Bay.
