Family Devastated After Five Members Receive 100-Year Combined Sentence

A Nyeri family is reeling from a devastating blow after five of its members were sentenced to a combined total of 100 years in prison.

The convicts include 60-year-old John Ritho Kihoi, his three sons, and a son-in-law, who were all found guilty of causing grievous harm.

The incident leading to their imprisonment began when Kihoi, accompanied by his son-in-law, was involved in an altercation at a local bar.

Following a dispute over drinks, which escalated into a physical confrontation, Kihoi and his family were accused of assault.

Despite Kihoi’s claim that his sons were not involved and his assertion that the conflict was provoked by a drunken encounter, the court found all the accused guilty.

Each family member received a 20-year sentence, with their release scheduled for 2037.

The family’s patriarch, Kihoi, expressed deep frustration, stating that his sons were unjustly convicted and that their plea for justice was ignored.

The lengthy sentences have left the family in disarray, particularly as the women are now left without male support.

The impact on the family is profound, as the women are now faced with the challenge of managing daily life and providing for themselves without the support of their male relatives.

The family’s situation has drawn attention to the struggles they face during this difficult time.
